Effective date: 12 October 2026 · Last updated: 12 October 2026
These terms cover our public websites: helpalive.com, our documentation site at docs.helpalive.com, the demo hub at helpalive.com/demos and the trust centre at helpalive.com/legal (together, the "Sites"). They are run by HelpAlive, Inc. ("HelpAlive", "we", "us"), a Delaware corporation at 1111B S Governors Ave Suite 97728, Dover, Delaware 19904, United States. "You" means the person using the Sites and, if you use them for a business or organisation, that organisation as well; you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it. By using the Sites, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them. This version replaces the Website Terms of Use dated 21 April 2026.
1. What these terms cover, and what they do not
- The Sites. These terms apply to anyone who visits or uses the Sites: reading pages, reading the documentation, watching demos, booking a call, or sending us a form.
- The product is covered elsewhere. HelpAlive itself, meaning the dashboard at app.helpalive.com, the script a customer adds to its app and the assistant that runs inside it, is governed by our Terms of Service, which you accept when you create an account. Where these terms and the Terms of Service both apply, for example to a customer reading the documentation, the Terms of Service prevail.
- If you meet HelpAlive inside someone else's app. You are using that company's product, not our Sites. Its terms apply to you, and our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your data on its behalf.
- Privacy and cookies. Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data the Sites collect and why, including what the demo access form records. Our Cookie Policy explains the cookies and browser storage the Sites use and how to change your choice.
2. Using the Sites
- What you may do. You may use the Sites to learn about HelpAlive, to evaluate it for your business, to read our documentation, and to contact us. You may link to any public page.
- Who may use them. The Sites are for people acting for a business or organisation. They are not meant for children under 16.
- Accuracy. We try to keep the Sites accurate and up to date, but they describe a product that changes. Pages, prices and documentation can be out of date, and nothing on the Sites is a binding offer unless the Terms of Service or an order form says so.
- Availability. We may change, pause or remove any part of the Sites at any time, without notice.
3. What you may not do
You may not, and may not let anyone else:
- copy, download, scrape, crawl or extract content from the Sites in bulk, by hand or with software, except that search engines and AI answer services may index the public pages of the Sites as our robots.txt allows, and may show brief excerpts of them, attributed and linked to the source page;
- use the Sites, the documentation, the demos or anything you learn from them to build, train or improve a product or an AI model that competes with HelpAlive, or to help someone else do so;
- reproduce, publish, sell or redistribute content from the Sites, or make it available on another site or in another product, except as section 5 allows;
- remove or change any copyright, trademark or other notice, or present our content as yours;
- probe, scan or test the security of the Sites, interfere with them, or try to get around any limit or control, without our written permission;
- submit false information in a form, impersonate someone else, or suggest a connection with us that does not exist;
- use the Sites to break the law or anyone's rights.
If you break these rules, we may block your access and take any other step the law allows.
4. The demos
The demo hub shows HelpAlive working inside sample apps. By submitting the demo access form, you agree to this section as well as the rest of these terms; the form says so next to its button, and we keep a record of the version you accepted.
- What they are for. The demos are for you to evaluate HelpAlive for your business. They are not a free trial of the product; for that, create an account under the Terms of Service.
- What they show. Each demo is a recording or a guided example of the assistant answering a question or walking a user through a task. The product keeps changing, so what you see may differ from what HelpAlive does in your app today.
- Other companies' products. Some demos run inside real products made by other companies, chosen as examples of the kind of app HelpAlive works in. Those products and their names belong to their owners. Showing them does not mean they use, sponsor or endorse HelpAlive.
- What you may not do with them. Do not download, record, copy, publish or redistribute the demos, or any part of them, and do not use them for the purposes section 3 rules out. You may describe what you saw to colleagues, and share a link to the demo hub.
- Your email address. We use it to give you access to the demos and to know who has watched them. We email you about HelpAlive only if you tick the box on the form that says so; you can withdraw that at any time by replying, or with the unsubscribe link in any email. Our Privacy Policy explains the rest.
5. Our content and trademarks
- Ownership. The content of the Sites, including the text, design, illustrations, recordings, code samples and documentation, belongs to HelpAlive or to its respective owners. These terms do not give you any ownership of it.
- Your licence. You may view the Sites and print or save pages for your own evaluation of HelpAlive. You may quote short passages of the text on the Sites and in the documentation, with attribution and a link, for example in a review, an article or an internal note. This does not extend to the demos, their recordings or screenshots of them.
- Code samples. You may use the code samples in our documentation to add HelpAlive to your own app, and for nothing else.
- Trademarks. "HelpAlive", our logo and our product names are our trademarks. You may name us accurately, for example in a comparison or a news article, but you may not use our marks in a way that suggests we endorse you, or as part of your own name, product or domain.
- Customer logos. Logos of our customers shown on the Sites belong to those customers and appear with their permission.
6. What you send us
- Forms and bookings. When you contact us, book a call or request access to the demos, you confirm that what you tell us is accurate and that you have the right to share it. Do not send us other people's personal data without their permission.
- Feedback. If you send us ideas or feedback about HelpAlive or the Sites, we may use them freely, without any obligation to you.
- Keep secrets out of forms. Forms and email are not the place for confidential information. If we need to exchange it, we will put a confidentiality agreement in place first. Nothing in these terms, including the feedback rule above, changes a confidentiality agreement between you and us.
7. Other sites and services
The Sites link to services run by other companies, such as the booking tool for calls with us and social networks. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. A link is not an endorsement. What we do with the details you give us through them, such as a call booking, is still governed by our Privacy Policy.
8. Copyright complaints
If you believe that something on the Sites infringes your copyright, email support@helpalive.com with: the work you say is infringed; where on the Sites the material is; your name, address and email; a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We will look into it and remove or disable material that we agree infringes.
9. No warranty
The Sites are provided as they are. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promise that they will be accurate, complete, available, secure or free of errors, and we exclude all warranties about them, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Nothing on the Sites is legal, financial or other professional advice.
10. Liability
- Cap. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the Sites or these terms is limited to US$100.
- No indirect losses. We are not liable for lost profits, revenue or data, or for indirect, special, consequential or punitive damages, even if warned they might happen.
- What this does not limit. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including for fraud. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, nothing in these terms takes away rights the law where you live gives you.
- Your indemnity. If a third party makes a claim against us because of something you did on the Sites in breach of section 3 or section 4, you will cover our losses and reasonable costs from that claim. We will tell you about the claim promptly, let you take over its defence and settlement if you ask, and help you with it at your cost; you will not settle it in a way that admits fault on our behalf without our consent.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If we have a dispute, we will each first try to resolve it informally: write to the other side describing it and allow 45 days for a response. If that fails, the state and federal courts located in Delaware have exclusive jurisdiction, and each of us agrees to their jurisdiction. Either side may ask any court for an urgent injunction to stop a breach of section 3, section 4 or section 5. Each of us waives any right to a jury trial, and agrees to bring claims only on our own behalf, not in a class or representative action. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and the mandatory laws there protect you.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. When we do, we will post the new version on the Sites with a new "Last updated" date and keep the previous versions available. For a material change we will give you clear notice on the Sites, and by email if you have asked to watch the demos, before it applies; if the demo terms change, the demo access form will ask you to accept them again. A change that a law or an urgent security issue requires can apply at once. Changes apply to your use of the Sites from the day they apply, not before.
13. General
- The whole agreement. These terms, with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Sites. They do not change the Terms of Service, the Data Processing Agreement or any order form.
- If part of them fails. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- No waiver. If we do not act on a breach, we can still act on it later.
- Language. These terms are written in English. If we publish a translation, the English version governs.
